Company

Legacy Risk Consulting was formed in 2005 to focus on the needs of clients in the areas of asbestos and other mass tort litigation, with an emphasis on identifying and maximizing the insurance available to clients in those areas. This frequently involves Insurance Archeology research into decades old insurance coverages. Once the insurance is identified, it must be mapped out and then taken to insurers. Negotiations are undertaken with the insurers to arrive at a mutual agreement as to how the identified coverages apply. Often, several trial allocations of the identified coverages must be undertaken to assure maximum recovery for the client.

LRC also works with actuaries to develop a qualitative and quantitative assessment of a client’s long term asbestos and other mass tort liabilities, often extending out 30 to 40 years. These actuarial reports satisfy mandated government reporting requirements, such as 10K, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, etc.
